What Motivates You? We are approaching the end of January 2022. Who have you supported so far this month to achieve their goals? When was the last time this month that you just simply did something for someone else? Something you knew would have made you happy if it was done for you? Are you getting time to meditate, reflect, or just be mindful at the moment? Can you honestly say that you were fully present in the last conversations you had? Have you purposefully engaged wholeheartedly in your work activities or even your loved ones? Are you maybe one of the individuals thinking, “Where is the time going?” I cannot believe it is the end of January 2022 already.
What is motivating me at this moment is living faithfully, loving people, and building each other up!
Living a life of faith is simple. Right? A faithful life that would honor God, no longer driven by impressing “mankind.” A life that actually pleases God. But what pleases God? Answering that question would require us to study the Bible. I’m not really wanting to debate that in this BLOG; however, I can safely bet that poor leadership is not pleasing to anyone, especially God.
Faith and LEADERSHIP go hand in hand, and faithful leadership implies commitment and honesty. When leaders display an authentic leadership style, it provides the team (or society) with the insight they can be trusted. Can people trust you, both professionally and personally?
I would love to think that many of us can quickly respond that our family and friends trust us. I would hope. Trust in relationships is feeling security and loyalty, meaning that we want the best for each other. Building trust at this level is being vulnerable in the relationship, including professional and personal. Love shows up differently professionally and personally; however, it shows up positively, patiently encouraging us to be kind to one another. Leading with LOVE means caring about what inspires and empowers others to grow to their greatest potential.
Who have you built up thus far this year? I will go back to the original questions. Who have you supported so far this month to achieve their goals? When was the last time this month that you just simply did something for someone else that you knew would have made you happy if it was done for you? Are you getting time to meditate, reflect, or just be mindful at the moment? Can you honestly say that you were fully present in the last conversations you had? Have you purposefully engaged wholeheartedly in your work activities or even with your loved ones?
If not, what excites you in the morning? Are you able to S.M.I.L.E. daily? I absolutely love to S.M.I.L.E. I get great joy out of serving others, doing what’s right, inspiring people, listening with my heart, and having a great time. Go and be a leader in your life by serving, modeling, inspiring, listening, and engaging, both professionally and personally.

Some years ago, I had a very close mentor who told me to “ALWAYS DO WHAT’S RIGHT!” He said, “everything legal may not be right, BUT keep your actions righteous, and justice will prevail.”
